SHFE aluminum showed a weak consolidation today. At the beginning of the week, processing fees were generally raised, but downstream buyers were not in a hurry to purchase and mostly tried to lower prices. Suppliers also lowered their quotes during the day. The supply of goods was relatively ample, and actual transactions involved volume discounts. Today, the processing fees for aluminum billets in Foshan were reported at 180/230, up by 70; in Wuxi, the processing fees were 250/300, up by 0/20; and in Nanchang, the processing fees were 200/250, up by 80. SMM Mar 24 News: On Mar 24, SMM A00 aluminum was at 20,660, down 130, with a discount of 30 to the Apr contract, unchanged. On Mar 24, SMM A00 aluminum (Foshan) was at 20,660, down 120, with a discount of 30 to the current month, narrowing by 10. (Unit: yuan/mt) Inventory side, according to SMM statistics, on Mar 24, domestic mainstream consumption areas' aluminum billet inventory was 284,500 mt, down 3,500 mt WoW from last Thursday. SHFE aluminum traded weakly today. At the beginning of the week, processing fees were collectively raised, but downstream buyers were not in a hurry to purchase and mostly pressed for lower prices. Suppliers also lowered their quotes during the session. There was ample supply, and actual transactions involved volume discounts. Today, Foshan aluminum billet market was quoted at 180/230, up 70; Wuxi market processing fee was at 250/300, up 0/20; Nanchang area processing fee was at 200/250, up 80.
